Easy Spinach Dip

My friend Diane makes the best dips.  She makes something completely different every time we meet and it's always delicious!  Diane adapted this Knorr recipe using less sour cream and adding her aunt's secret ingredient.  One important tip she gave me was to place the thawed spinach in a clean kitchen towel then squeeze out the excess water from the spinach by twisting the towel.  Hollow out a round bread loaf to fill with the dip just before serving.

Easy Vegetable Dip
Ingredients:

1 package (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, cooked, cooled and squeezed dry
8 oz of sour cream
1 cup Hellmann's Mayonnaise
1 package Knorr Vegetable recipe mix
1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, drained and chopped (optional)
3 green onions, chopped (optional)
1/2 teaspoon of Lawry's Seasoning Salt

Directions:
  1. Combine all ingredients in medium bowl. Cover and chill 2 hours to blend flavors.
  2. Stir before serving. Serve with Ritz crackers or assorted crudites.
