Visions of Sugar Plums
This year my Christmas tree is filled with all sorts of treats. Lollipops, candies, chocolate covered strawberries, cupcakes, snowmen ice cream cones, gingerbread cookies...
If you look carefully, amidst all the sweets are characters of the Nutcracker ballet tucked in.
Even the Rat King himself is decked out in sugar sweet plums, pinks and golds.
Nearly every candy ornament has been frosted and sugared.
Some of the snowflakes are pink with lots of sprinkles!
My gingerbread baker nutcracker has been working very closely with the Sugar Plum Fairy to create a delightful sweets and treats wonderland. Gumdrops are scattered about as are sweet trees made of ice cream and gingerbread.
They must have had some help from the KitchenAid... (That's ok. I need my KitchenAid too!)
At the bottom of the tree, large pink frosted cupcakes and a cotton candy tree sit among the presents. (Soon I will be posting a tutorial on how to make the large cupcakes, ice cream and cotton candy trees).
